Position Overiew

We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide a broad range of office support to our CEO, Eli
Casdin. The successful candidate will support the daily administrative work flow by handling telephone
calls, calendar management, meeting preparation, greeting guests, as well as travel and expense
management.

Responsibilities

Phone
Act as gatekeeper to the partners of the firm and serve as first point of contact with investors and senior
executives of other companies. The candidate must be highly professional, polished, and
communicative. Duties will include fielding and directing calls, including screening calls. Take messages
and ensure timely receipt of messages. Occasionally dial into and/or record conference calls.

Calendar & Contacts
Manage the partners’ business calendar and contact lists to prioritize appointments and maximize
partners’ time; anticipate and resolve any potential scheduling conflicts. Coordinate and schedule
meetings, including schedule changes and managing the logistics. Maintain CRM system.

Travel
Manage extensive, complex and detailed domestic and international travel, including arranging
transportation, reserving accommodations, preparing a detailed itinerary and coordinating materials.
Anticipate all travel needs of the Partners and assist with assembling and providing materials for
meetings, calls and travel. Additionally, handle registration and preparation for industry conferences.

Other
Review materials for formatting and must have proficient skills at proofing / editing materials. Assist in
ad hoc and special projects as necessary. All holiday arrangements for building staff. Personal items for
Partners as requested.

Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet navigation.

Experience working in a fast-paced financial services organization preferably with an investment firm.

Positive, high-energy, “can-do” attitude and excellent interpersonal/people skills.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to respond well to questions and seek clarification as needed. Must be highly organized and accurate when gathering/organizing/communicating information.

Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. Ability to prioritize. Ability to make quick and effective decisions in stressful situations. Pro-active problem solver

Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as multi-task

Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to contact and interact with clients.

Dedicated, reliable, and thorough, with hands-on attitude and willingness to perform any and all responsibilities required for success.
